Championship Boxing returns to “The World's Most Famous Arena” on Saturday, May 20th with a must-see match-up between two top Junior Welterweight warriors! Undefeated World Champion TERENCE “BUD” CRAWFORD returns to “The Mecca of Boxing” to defend his unified WBO / WBC / Ring Magazine titles against former Olympic gold medalist and top-rated contender FELIX DIAZ.
Two division champion, and top pound-for-pound superstar Crawford (30-0, 21 KOs), from Omaha, Nebraska, returns to New York City to make his Madison Square Garden Arena debut. “Bud” has won five of his last seven fights via knockout, and will be looking for his 31st consecutive career victory when he steps into The Garden's famed ring on May 20th.
Top rated contender Diaz (19-1, 9 KOs) is the first boxer from the Dominican Republic to ever win an Olympic gold medal. The hard hitting southpaw will look to prove himself as the best 140-pound fighter in the world by handing Crawford the first loss of his career.
Hot off his high-profile pro debut, 2016 Olympic silver medalist SHAKUR STEVENSON will soon return to the ring for his second professional bout. The crown jewel of the U.S. Olympic boxing team and the Pride of Newark, New Jersey, will be featured in a six-round featherweight bout on the undercard. He'll be facing Carlos Suarez (6-3-2, one KO), from La Plata, Argentina.
