Latin worship band, Miel San Marcos, will perform at Madison Square Garden, the World’s Most Famous Arena, on September 2, 2017 at 8:00pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 21 at 10:00am*.
As one of the most influential worship bands in Latin America, Miel San Marcos will record the New York City performance for its next production, titled “Pentecostés” (Pentecost). Following the success of their previous releases, Como En El Cielo (As It Is In Heaven) and Tu Habitación (Your Habitation), the group wishes to capture, in this production, the sound of the collective worship of the church.
"We want the ambiance of the worship experience and what God does in that moment to be engraved in this record and video. Any person can become part of this event knowing that the word of God is inviting us to unite and worship Him,” shared the founding band member, Luis Morales.
"On the day that the feast of PENTECOST was celebrated, the promise for the church was fulfilled and from then on until Christ returns. We want to reinforce our foundations in this generation and, through this record, glorify the Father for the filling of His Spirit in us and all that it is and represents,” commented Josh Morales, lead vocalist for the band.
“Pentecost” highlights their tenth production recorded live. Miel San Marcos chose Madison Square Garden for its location because it is the heart of where many nations of the world have gathered for centuries.
"We did not choose the easy way to do this recording. It is probably the greatest challenge of our lives in the whole meaning of the word. But, once again, we are moving in faith for what we believe in» confessed the group, reaffirming that they want “the world to listen to the voice of the Church, lifting the Name that is above all names, Jesus Christ, from one of the most significant cities of the world.”
Miel San Marcos is one of the most influential bands in Latin Contemporary Christian Music. The band was founded in the year 2000 by three brothers, Josh, Luis and Samy Morales, in the City of San Marcos, Guatemala. They have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Dove Award (USA), Premio Arpa (Mexico), Premio Arca (Venezuela) and the Visión Music Award (Guatemala). The group’s nine albums and multiple world tours has earned them a following capable of filling stadiums where they share the gospel through the word of God, music, love and hope to this generation.
*On the first day of sale, tickets for concerts are not sold at the Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall or Beacon Theatre Box Offices, and may only be purchased via Ticketmaster.
