With Special Guest Martha Wainwright
Goldfrapp, known for their visual theatrics and contribution to the popularization of electronic dance music, comes to New York City on Friday, September 12, for a very special concert at Radio City Music Hall after selling out the Beacon Theatre earlier this year.
Goldfrapp delivered their debut album, 'Felt Mountain,' in fall 2000. 'Felt Mountain' went on to nearly universal acclaim and spawned several releases, including 'Utopia Genetically Enriched' EP, which arrived in early 2001. In Spring 2003, Goldfrapp returned with 'Black Cherry.' 2005 saw the release of the "Ooh La La" single and the full-length 'Supernature,' both of which continued the disco and glam rock influences of the duo's previous album. 2008's 'The Seventh Tree' moved in a calmer, more acoustic-based - but just as sonically lush - direction. Goldfrapp released their latest album, 'Caravan Girl,' on June 30. The disc includes specially recorded songs "Caravan Girl," "Little Bird," and "Monster Love."
Special guest Martha Wainwright has made a name for herself with a self-titled EP, as well as a four-song EP called 'Factory' in 2002. Her second full-length album, 'I Know You're Married But I've Got Feelings Too,' arrived in spring 2008.
