About the Show

The National will take the stage at Radio City Music Hall on June 16.

The band previously performed on the historic stage as part of the Dark Was the Night concert last May. Their recent tour will support the band's fifth album due out in May - the follow-up to their hit Boxer.

The National are a rising talent, infusing indie rock and modern punk sounds. Composed of five friends, including two sets of brothers, they originally hail from Cincinnati, Ohio. After forming a group over ten years ago in Brooklyn, NY the band has garnered acclaim from music aficionados, including praise from Mojo and Nylon magazines.

Since their self-titled debut released in 2001, they have performed all over the country almost non-stop, including stops at The Jimmy Fallon Show and touring with R.E.M. Their track "Fake Empire" was prominently used by the Barack Obama campaign in 2008 for television ads and before prominent speeches.
