What happened to Cheering for Children? The Cheering for Children Foundation has been re-named "Garden of Dreams." Garden of Dreams remains the same 501 C3 non-profit charity with the same overall mission of improving the lives of children in our area. After 6 years and millions of dollars in resources directed at helping NYC’s after-school programs and the building of playgrounds in our area, the focus of Garden of Dreams will expand to help make dreams come true for kids in crisis. This will include children facing enormous obstacles, including illness, abuse, foster situations, homelessness, hunger, extreme poverty. Garden of Dreams will work with local children’s hospitals, wish organizations, Starlight-Starbright, and community based organizations serving children in crisis.
